A message from Mrs. Frank

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Principal of Heritage Elementary.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition as implemented by my great colleague, Mrs. Bugg.  I have been dedicated to the field of education for twenty-eight years.  I have worked with a variety of students ranging in age from early elementary, teaching fourth grade at Centennial, and through middle school during my years of teaching middle school science in Putnam City.  My most recent administrative experience was at Washington Irving Elementary where I served as Principal, and prior to that as Assistant Principal at Centennial Elementary and Charles Haskell Elementary.  I also served as Assistant Principal in Putnam City middle schools in the early 2000s.  I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Heritage Elementary and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

I am sure you are curious about me. I grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma (Go Pokes!) where my parents were educators and my dad was a professor at OSU in the College of Education.  I attended OSU with a degree in Elementary Education.  I married my high school sweetheart, Corbin Frank, who is also a math teacher and coach. We have been married for 29 years.  We have two amazing and beautiful twin daughters, Madi and Brooke.  They are now 19 and attend OSU. Madi is a Kappa majoring in Speech Pathology and Brooke is an Alpha Chi majoring in Accounting.  I am a family person, being a wife and mom is so important to me, even though my daughters have left for college.  We also have three dogs, one very old Chihuahua mix, and two puppies that are toy Australian Shepherds.  They may possibly keep me busier than my kids!  In my spare time, I love reading, shopping, decorating, taking family trips and mommy-daughter getaways, finding and creating healthy recipes, and lounging in my pool at home.  You will usually find me working, as I love my job and the people I serve.  I truly enjoy serving others and making a lasting and positive impact.  We are regulars at Life Church and my husband is a huge supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of growth and success established by Mrs. Bugg by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on positive behavior initiatives such as Conscious Discipline, Great Expectations, and building relationships.  We will continue to focus on the Oklahoma Standards, the use of data to drive instruction, the continued higher-level implementation of technology, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of our student’s achievements.

I am eager and excited to begin what I promise to be one of the best years ever.  This year is going to be amazing as we move back together, healing from the social impacts of a global pandemic while continuing to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors – teacher, students, and parents- are excited to be here.  My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

Respectfully,
Kimberly Frank
Principal of Heritage Elementary
