Career Days at Heritage!
Heritage is full STEAM ahead! For the month of January, all grade levels will be hosting a career fair showcasing jobs related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
The fifth graders held their career day on January 4th. Their featured careers included an astronomy professor, a biology professor, and an FBI Special Agent. Below are some pictures of the day’s events!
The fourth graders held their career day on January 5th. Their featured careers included a very special geologist… Mrs. Sikes’ (4th-grade teacher) son! Andrew Snider and his co-worker Miranda Childress are pictured below with Mrs. Sikes’ class.
The Heritage second-graders got to enjoy their career day learning about the exciting careers of firefighters and police officers! A few second graders were even lucky enough to be able to try on the firemen’s suits.
Pre-K had two STEAM experts. The first was Mrs. Lucy. She helped Pre0K use math and their imagination to observe & draw bugs with a cool background! The second STEAM expert was Dr. Ed. He explained how he used math to help the panels on the space shuttle from melting. Pre-K got to count down to blast off with him! He also showed how he helped strengthen the army tanks, and then he made isosceles triangles with the class!
